Theses and Research Projects

We are always happy to offer topics for master and bachelor projects, and the other research projects in the different degree programs. Specific projects will be discussed individually and typically fall into the following categories:

MEMS technologies

Work on laboratory systems that are used in MEMS research, typically for MEMS fabrication and characterization. This usually involves mechanical or optical setups, systems integration and/or programming.

MEMS processes

Investigation and optimization of MEMS fabrication processes, such as deposition of functional materials (and their characterization), surface modification, bonding processes, and micro structuring (e.g., laser ablation, stereo lithography).

MEMS device technologies

Development and investigation of novel micromechanical, fluidic and optical working principles and devices. Primarily related to optomechatronics (e.g., adaptive optical elements), compliant mechanics, integrated actuators and sensors (e.g., self-sensing, self-deforming structures), applications of ultrasound in fluidics and mechanics.
